lex russo is a composer, performer, multimedia artist, and synth hoarder hailing from boston, ma. for nearly two decades, lr has created audio and multimedia installations, durational soundscapes, video & film scores, and has performed across the eastern united states under several monikers, most notably as vehement caress and grutch.

lr's thematic and stylistic choices waver based on project, but are strung together by several common themes:
industrial-clad drones, off-kilter rhythmic shambles, squelchingly sharp synthetic outbursts, vocal disfigurations, atmospheric dizziness, lush malaise.

lr has released audio documentation on imprints such as phage tapes, divergent series, apicult recordings, discarded records, mineral tapes.

lr has recently been clawing out of the backlog of undercooked slag of past years' recording endeavours, while sequestered in a small nook of a pseudoburbclave directly adjacent to boston, doctoring up several new performances & potential audio releases.
